Capt. Joseph Reed was born in 1738 in Antrim, Ulster, Ireland.^2,3 He was the son of Andrew Reed and Jean Murray. He married Sarah Wylie c 1766; est'd from birth of 1st child.¹ He died on 6 MAR 1809.¹
He witnessed the immigration of Andrew Reed a 20 MAR 1743.⁴ He witnessed the death of Sarah Wylie on 18 MAY 1789.¹
