Biography

Mary L. Stevens was born in January 1852 in Bangor, Penobscot County, ME, from census records of 1860,1880 and 1900.1,2,3 She and Charles H. Evans were married on 6 December 1868 in Bangor, Penobscot County, ME, by Geo.W.Snow, JP.4,5,6,7 Mary L. Stevens and Charles H. Evans were divorced on 11 November 1873 in Bangor, Penobscot, ME.8 Mary L. Stevens and William T Ordway were married on 22 June 1874 in Boston, Suffolk County, MA.9,10 Mary L. Stevens died on 20 October 1929, at age 77, in Chelsea, Suffolk County, MA, death cert.11 She was buried after 20 October 1929 in Everett, Middlesex County, MA, Glenwood Cemetary.12
Mary L. Stevens was also known as Lola Evans. She was also known as Lola Ordway. She had reference number 99. She was enumerated on the census of 1860 with William L. Stevens in Bangor, Penobscott County, ME.13 As of between 1860 and September 1866, Mary L. Stevens was also known as Lola M. Stevens.14,15 She was enumerated on the census of 1870 with William L. Ordway, Emma F Ordway, and Frank B. Ordway.17 Mary L. Stevens and William T Ordway were enumerated on the census of 1900 in Everett, Middlesex County, MA, with William L. Ordway, Emma F Ordway, Lois H. Ordway, Sarah Agnes Ordway, Maria L Ordway, and Grace E Ordway.18
